SCRIPTURAL PASSAGE: JUDGES 6:1-16
; JUDGES 5:31

WHAT IS STRENGTH:
Strength is the capacity of an object or substance or a being to withstand great force or pressure. Everything around a man is to test the strength of that man.
Power and Strength are two different things: Power is limited by time while Strength is how long a man can withstand/endure suffering. Strength is not temporary. JOHN 6:4
Power is the ability to do work but it requires Strength to sustain the pressure while doing the work.
Strength is not how a man is vibrant but how vibrant he can sustain himself in that vibrancy. No matter the amount of strength a man has, the devil have more than enough to displace the man. Strength is not for short term but for long term.
Every man that have gave his life to Jesus, has the measure of the spirit of God in him, the man has the measure of God’s Strength

WHAT TAKE AWAY BELIEVER’S STRENGTH:

  • DISOBEDIENCE: Disobedience is a very great way that a man can loss the strength and the grace that God has given to him/her. Disobedience will open a way for the devil to penetrates to a man and by that the man will loss his strength. Disobedience is a great tool in the hand of the enemy for absorbing strength from a man. Judges 6:9-10.
  • SIN: SIN is another through platform in which a man can lost his strength. Sin brings about separation between God and man, and when a man is separated from God, there is no platform to draw strength from, the man will surely fail in the days of adversity because his strength is small. Judges 6:1

HOW A MAN CAN ABIDE IN THE STRENGTH:
The eye of the lord is moving to and fro looking for whom to bestow his strength upon, the lord is every searching for vessels to bestow his strength upon, he depend upon the man whether to be submissive to the instruction of God or to disobey.
It is only in the presence of GOD that a man can draw strength, when the presence of God is abiding with a man is equivalent to his strength dwelling with man.
It is only in the place of fellowship that a man can draw strength, when a man is in close relationship with God and constantly visit his secret place the strength of god cannot be far from that man.
